If you live in Tampa and spend the entire year waiting for the first excuse to pull out a sweater or a long sleeve (hehe), and pretend Florida has seasons, you need to know about The Gathering Table Event Venue.
Because somehow, tucked away beneath old trees and Spanish moss, they’ve created fall. The space feels completely removed from the palm trees, traffic, and hot October afternoons we’re used to.
And it is so much more than a backdrop for fall photos.
The Gathering Table has created a collection of spaces that feel like little scenes from autumn. There’s a vintage truck covered in pumpkins and florals, cozy chairs beneath the trees, a market-inspired storefront, warm fall colors, string lights, and quiet corners that make you want to stay awhile.
When I photographed M and J here, I didn’t want their gallery to feel like moving from one fall set to another.
I wanted it to feel like a date.
Meeting at the market. Wandering around together. Dancing beneath the trees. Sitting in the back of an old truck. Flirting, laughing, chasing each other across the property, warming up beside the fire.
The kind of afternoon you wish you could tuck away somewhere and visit again later.
That is what I love most about The Gathering Table.
There are plenty of beautiful places to take a photograph. But the best locations give you somewhere to make a memory while you’re there.

You can bring your babies and let them explore the grounds and visit the animals during your session. Bring the person you love and make an actual date out of your photos. Bring your family and create the kind of fall tradition we sometimes have to work a little harder for here in Florida.
And photographers, there is so much room to tell a story here.

You can shoot wide beneath the mossy trees, move in close for something romantic, play with movement, photograph all of the little fall details, and then walk a few feet and find an entirely different scene waiting for you.
It feels nostalgic.
A little romantic.
A little Southern.
And very much like fall found its way to Florida after all.
