the in-between hours

i’m usually up late editing
a night owl by nature, and i love it

i’ve been an artist for as long as i can remember
paintbrush in one hand, camera in the other

photography became my way of holding onto the moments that make life feel full

i moved a lot growing up
so the little things matter most to me

polaroids, birthday cards, handwritten notes
the kinds of things you keep without realizing how much they’ll mean later

everyone in my family has a memory box
mine is overflowing

now, as a mom, a wife, and someone who feels everything deeply
i find even more beauty in the in-between

the quiet glances
the teary eyes
the “we really did this” kind of moments

that’s what i’m drawn to
and that’s what i photograph
